"Spider God," an exhibition of paintings on paper of recent works introduces, explores, and questions my own interpretation of the symbolism, mythology, and meaning of the SPIDER imagery into my art, myself, and how it relates to the world. Through the repetition, creation, and research of made up SPIDER images and their mythology, I have created my own delusional and superstitious story, claiming that I am channeling the African deity Anansi, The Spider God, The Trickster, The StoryTeller to articulate and deliver an image/message yet to be deciphered by the artist himself.
Furthermore, I will also be displaying a large assortment of small, complex, and intricate drawings, paintings, and sculptures from the last 7 years which I call "THE BURDEN," along with new, small, simple paintings on paper of my STREET ART symbol the "GOOD LUCK SPOT."
