Blanka's work involves hybridization. The constructions are a mix of contemporary objects and forms organized to insinuate totemic or ritualistic objects. Although her work is not didactic, the art pieces are rhizomatically linked to her own experiences; issues of gender are sensitively located in rich color and highly patterned decorative motifs.
